The History of Taxonomy

And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every fowl of the air and brought them unto Adam to see what he would name them, and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. – Genesis 2:19

What is Taxonomy? Taxonomy is the practice and science of classifications of things or concepts. When researching I noticed a lot of taxonomy related websites that focused on scientific areas of study. As this isn’t exactly what my taxonomy will be based on I had to improvise with my own take on the term. To me, taxonomy is a collection of things. Something that we have personally gone out and created from things we either love or find interesting. If we do collect these things, it will make it a lot easier to make something Graphic to show to the students in Hong Kong.
